Primary Election Press Release

May 11th, 2020

From the office of the Franklin County Clerk

Registered voters of Franklin County will have the opportunity to vote by mail-in ballot for the upcoming June 23rd Primary Election. In this Election, we are encouraging everyone to vote by mail to ensure the health and safety of our Franklin County community. In an effort to protect the public, an Election Headquarters has been organized inside of the old Frankfort Plant Board office located at 317 W. 2nd Street. This location will be appropriately staffed with Deputy Clerks and trained Election Officers who will oversee the preparation of incoming and outgoing ballots. For any voter needing to vote in-person, an appointment system will be made available and published on our website as well as our Facebook page. The application process to obtain a mail-in ballot will be made available through an online portal provided by the State Board of Elections. This secure portal will provide our office with the necessary information to complete the mail-in ballot request and begin the process of mailing out your ballot. The State Board of Elections portal will be available to all registered voters beginning May 22, 2020. If you require more immediate assistance or don’t have access to online information, please call our office at (502) 875-8704. Our election officers are taking every precaution to ensure the integrity and success of this election during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

For additional information, you can call the office directly at (502) 875-8704. Our staff is working diligently to provide the public with all information as it is made readily available to us. Thank you for your continued patience as we work to make this process as convenient as possible for you, our citizens of Franklin County.
